MEET RONNIE
I’m running for the West Virginia House of Delegates in District 39 because I believe government should be practical, accountable, and connected to the people it serves. My campaign is rooted in a simple idea: ordinary West Virginians should have a voice in Charleston, and ordinary people should be able to step forward and serve without needing political connections or a giant campaign bank account.
WHY I’M RUNNING
I’m running because West Virginia deserves representatives who listen, ask hard questions, and remember who they work for. Too often, ordinary people feel shut out of decisions that directly affect their families, communities, and way of life. I believe public service should be about common sense, accountability, and doing the work, not political connections or who can raise the most money.
ISSUES & PRIORITIES
My priorities are grounded in protecting West Virginia families, strengthening local communities, keeping government accountable, and making sure decisions in Charleston reflect the people who actually live with the consequences.
Government Accountability
Government should work for the people, not insiders. I support transparency, responsible spending, open decision-making, and holding public agencies accountable when they fail West Virginians.
CPS & Family Court Reform
Families deserve a system that protects children while respecting due process, transparency, and accountability. I support meaningful CPS reform, stronger oversight, and reforms that put children and families ahead of bureaucracy.
Water, Infrastructure & Responsible Growth
West Virginia communities need reliable water, dependable infrastructure, and economic development that makes sense for the people already living here. I support growth that protects local resources, respects communities, and plans for long-term capacity.
DISTRICT 39
District 39 is home to communities with different needs but many of the same concerns: reliable infrastructure, accountable government, strong families, economic opportunity, and a voice in Charleston that listens before making decisions. Ronnie believes representing District 39 starts with staying connected to the people who live here.
District 39 includes communities such as Matoaka, Lashmeet, Spanishburg, Athens, Elgood, Cheesy Creek, Oakvale, Kellysville, and Lake Bottom. Each community has its own character and concerns, and Ronnie believes good representation starts with knowing the people, places, and everyday issues that make this district home.

Why CPS Reform and Family Accountability Matter
West Virginia’s child welfare system has one of the most serious responsibilities government can carry: protecting children while making decisions that can permanently change families. That responsibility demands fairness, transparency, strong oversight, and meaningful accountability. CPS reform is one of the issues Ronnie believes deserves serious attention in Charleston, not to weaken child protection, but…
